Department Overview
Global Capital Market Application Management provides application support to the wholesale business unit of TD Securities (TDS). This position will report to the IT Manager and provide support to the Domestic Fixed Income line at TDS. In this role, the candidate will perform day to day support for various applications, investigation / resolving production issues, testing small/ medium enhancements, liaison with ITS for gathering information and implementations. The candidate will frequently interact with Front Office, Middle Office and Back office. The candidate will also interact with business SMEs, Consultants, business analysts and developers.

Will be a point person for the group of applications supported.
Will develop and maintain excellent working relationships with front office, Operations & Finance, Treasury Credit, Risk Management, TDS Technology, ITS, and Vendors.
Assume an “ownership” role for production issues.
Will ensure timely notifications of possible issues/problems to management and provide options and recommendations for prompt resolution.
Will be responsible for opening an incident ticket in Service Desk for each incident and ensuring that the all data is filled correctly and is closed in a timely manner.
Will assist with reviewing Incident Tickets to ensure completeness.
Will be on the pager rotation as required.
Will participate in DRP activities for various applications.
Will work with the IT Manager in standardizing the support activities within the group as required.
Will follow change control procedures all changes, and ensure that all Change Requests are accurate and properly filled out.
Will be responsible for any maintenance activities, upgrades, and releases assigned.
Will take lead on / assist IT Manager with Post Incident reviews as required.
Sound knowledge of tools (e.g., MS Office, Visio, SQL Server).
Nice to have applications knowledge such as Calypso applications, ION-ANVIL, and Bloomberg.
Ability to independently and effectively troubleshoot client applications issues of moderate to high complexity

*Job Requirements
College or University degree in Computer Science or related disciplines (i.e. Business Administration - Information Systems or Information Technology Management).
Solid written and verbal communication skills. Ability to clearly articulate a concise, focused and audience-targeted message (communication efficiency) an absolute must.
Mature judgment, analytical aptitude required.
Solid grasp of requirements management process, practices and standards.
Previous experience in a similar role an asset.
Demonstrated sense of ownership, personal responsibility and organization.

Salary: $75,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
