ALL ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting to the Director of Marketing, the Graphic Designer works closely with the senior graphic designer as well as the marketing team to create on-brand email marketing collateral, signage, printed materials, website assets, and more. If you are passionate about graphic design, illustration, and the art of aesthetics, here is your chance to have some fun while creating work that will be shared with a large audience.
YOUR DAY-TO-DAY DUTIES
- Create web and email assets that are consistent with the SweetLegs brand guidelines
- Design print and website layouts
- Create fun and engaging designs that draw attention
- Maintain an organized library of photos, images, artwork, charts, and other items to easily reference
- Constantly update and upgrade skills and knowledge of new software, tools and design concepts
QUALIFICATIONS
- Diploma in Graphic Design or related field, with a minimum of 3-5 years of industry experience
- Demonstrates strong knowledge of both traditional and digital media, hand-drawn typography, illustration, branding, layout, and print production
- Experience in Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe InDesign
- Ability to operate Apple systems
- Knowledgeable of colour theory and layout
- Strong illustration and hand-drawn typography skills a definite asset
- Ability to operate iPad and Apple pencil
- Experience in photo editing is preferred
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE NEEDED
- Self-driven, resourceful, and a team player (this is a must!)
- Work collaboratively and take direction from senior designer to ensure a consistent design style
- Possess strong communication skills and open to adjusting style or approach based on feedback
- Able to handle multiple projects and prioritize different tasks while sticking to short deadlines and last-minute changes
- Able to interpret and follow brand guidelines to ensure brand consistency
- Experience in print production/setup
- Detail-oriented and organized
