Job Description
Busy law firm in Vaughan (Hwy 400 & Steeles Ave W) looking for a full-time, in-office real estate law clerk.
Responsibilities:
- Supporting real estate lawyers;
- Working largely independently to carry out real estate and financing transactions;
- Drafting all documentation and correspondence for real estate matters/transactions;
- Managing residential and commercial real estate transactions;
- Managing subdivision/condominium development and registration of plans of subdivision and condominium;
- Managing financing transactions for lenders;
- Closing of real estate transactions;
- Preparing reports and accounts on an as needed basis;
- Providing support to other clerk(s) in the management and closing of real estate transactions.
Skills/Qualifications:
- Minimum three (3) years’ experience as a law clerk or assistant in a busy real estate practice is required;
- Proficiency with Teraview, Unity, Lawyer Done Deal, PCLaw, and the entire MS Office suite is required;
- Experience with subdivision closings is preferred.
