Data Visualization Specialist–
Reporting to the Head of Labs, the Data Visualization Specialist will develop and deliver technical yet engaging visual content for our viewership. As a member of our Labs Team, you will work with our engineers, subject matter experts, writers, and other team members to understand their content requirements, develop recommendations for visual assets, and then create high-quality and easily interpretable visualizations that aligns with the LMG brand. The Data Visualization Specialist's responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Responsibilities
- Prepares visually appealing and informative technical charts, tables, and graphs by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends from various systems.
- Design and develop highly creative, thought-provoking, and captivating visual assets for LMG.
- Produce timely, high-quality visualizations with an emphasis on accuracy.
- Ability to assess trends and insight using multiple data sets and large amounts of data
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop and refine creative assets and ensure that the content and visuals are consistent with the LMG brand.
- Research and stay up to date on consumer technology, trends, industry best practices, and emerging technologies to identify new opportunities for visualizing content.
- Collaborate, organize, and facilitate review sessions with engineers, subject matter experts (SMEs), and video/writing/editing teams to resolve issues, clarify data, and produce consistent engaging content that reflects objective test results.
- Identify patterns, trends and correlations in complex data whilst overlaying visual context and limiting bias.
- Manage multiple content delivery schedules in a very dynamic environment.
- Adhere to internal Quality Assurance standards and practices prior to publication of assets.
- Maintain databases for the collection, analysis, and dissemination of visual data for LTT Labs.
- Ensure that key visual content is optimized for various viewing platforms.
- Use analytics to determine better ways to engage users, increase viewership loyalty, and improve brand awareness.
- Conduct regular audits of existing content and make recommendations for updates and improvements to increase user engagement and satisfaction with LMG.
- Partner with the Labs Manager and other team members to define key performance indicators (KPIs) for content, and regularly measure and report on visual content performance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Operations Research, Communications, Statistics, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Data Visualization Specialist or Data Visualization Architect preferably in a direct-to-consumer environment.
- Experience in visualization and presentation of data analysis
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate ideas and provide feedback in a clear and concise manner.
- Ability to strike a balance between creative visuals, engaging content, and technical expertise.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Prior experience with recommender systems and/or data mining
- Experience working in a collaborative team environment.
- Proficiency in a variety of PC tools and applications such as Adobe Tools, Tableau and Alteryx.
