Position Scope:
NACG is looking for Bus Drivers to work on a remote mining site in the Fort McMurray area. You must be well-organized and favor safety above everything else.
Site: Fort Hills
Schedule: 14x14- 12 hours (paid for 11.5 hours) (Days and nights)
Accommodations: Camp provided
Transportation: Flights are provided to and from Edmonton or Calgary. Bussing provided from Fort McMurray to site (before and after shifts)
Overtime: Provided after 8 hours a day or 44 hours a week
Hourly Rate: Up to $49.84 per hour
Responsibilities:
- Shuttle bus for on site pick up and drop off
- Driving employees to and from camp to work area approx. 48 passengers
- Yard maintenance and equipment relocation
- Piloting of deliveries
Qualifications:
- Must hold a valid Class 2 (drive buses, including school buses, special activity buses - exceeding 20 up to 48 passengers and special vehicles)
- 1-2 years experience driving a bus
- Preferred candidates with additional heavy equipment operating experience such as loaders or forklifts.
Summary:
All successful candidates must:
- Be proficient in English, both verbally and written
- Have a valid Class 2 Driver’s License
- Have experience as requested as mentioned above
- Subject to Random Testing at: Suncor, Suncor Fort Hills and Kearl sites
- Undergo and successfully pass the following testing:
- Breath Alcohol Test
- Urine Drug Test
- Fitness-to-Work Assessment
- Audiometric Testing
- Vision Screening
- Criminal Record Check
Shift, site, and start times are subject to change.
All successful candidates MUST provide the following items prior to confirmation of their start date:
- CSO or BSO Certification
- Copy of Valid Class 2 Driver’s License
- Copy of recent Driver’s Abstract
- VOID cheque/direct deposit form
- Silica Awareness
Once dispatched the following processes will occur:
- Will receive a call from NACG to set up all required pre-employment testing
- An email will be sent with all required New Hire Paperwork to be filled out
- After all results are received by NACG candidates will be contacted by Site Admin to schedule orientation and confirm your start date and other site specific details.
