Position Overview:
Reporting to the Procurement Performance Manager, the Procurement Data Specialist will be an expert and owner of all procurement master data. Responsibilities include collaborating with internal stakeholders, external suppliers and Caterpillar to gather and process information requirements to facilitate the daily and long term requirements vital to the ERP system and identify value-added opportunities across the organization. This role will also be responsible for analyzing and evaluating data for accuracy, updating master data as well as troubleshooting and resolving problems related to procurement master data. Another key responsibility will be creating reports/dashboards to support the procurement department and drive continuous improvement to achieve procurement excellence.
Job Description:
Manage and maintain the integrity of data to support procurement functions, including supplier, item, and related master files within our enterprise resource planning system.
- Mentor Procurement Data Coordinators and assist Procurement Performance Manager and internal stakeholders with information gathering, data manipulation, analyzing data and reporting.
- Develop and maintain data standards and responsible for ensuring that data policies are communicated and enforced.
- Work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure process efficiency and continuous improvement projects are identified, tracked and followed through to completion.

Qualifications:
- 2+ years experience in a Data Management or Supply Chain role
- Experience with analytics and the development of reports, metrics and dashboards using tools such as PowerBI or Tableau
- Strong computer skills and proficient in MS Office Suite – specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Previous experience with SAP Ariba would be an asset
- Knowledge and understanding of end-to-end supply chain management
- Working knowledge of ERP and data base systems
