Job Description:
The role will require a positive, pro-active, and well-organized individual. The role exists to assist the IT Helpdesk to ensure that all our employee's software and hardware needs are met. The role would also include writing informative training articles for the employees on the company portal and by email so that they can learn about current internet threats as well as useful computer tips.
The successful candidate will have a good knowledge of maintaining IT hardware, in particular laptops and mobile phones. The role requires good people skills as the successful candidate will provide front line support to our busy staff members both in person and remotely. They will have a positive approach, be comfortable with a range of duties that vary from day-to-day and be committed to developing their technical skills further.
Working within the IT team, they will also handle a significant amount of sensitive data and will help to ensure that appropriate protocols are being followed.
An interest in front end UI programming (Javascript/PHP/Vue/Tailwind) would be an asset as help is always needed for our in house developed software.
Required Technical Skills:
- Proven experience as IT coordinator or similar role
- Experience in network management and help desk support is appreciated
- Solid knowledge of IT systems and applications
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair issues
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Great attention to detail
- Excellent organisational and coordination abilities
